My name is Silas Nichols, an alumni of Saint John’s. I graduated in 2025 as Student Body President in the final eighth-grade class at St. John School. I’m now a freshman at Malden Catholic, along with many other Saint John’s alumni. I moved to Boston in 2016 and although the public schools available are some of the best in the country, Saint John’s was always the correct choice for me. I’m proud of what I accomplished at Saint John’s, but more than anything, I’m thankful. My teachers prepared me for the academic challenges of high school, but they also taught me lessons that go beyond the classroom, like how to respect others, work together, and most importantly, how to lead with integrity.
Following my time at Saint John’s, I feel confident striving for leadership roles within Malden Catholic Model UN, the Football team, and honors level classes, and just received National Honors recognition for my Latin work. None of this would have been possible without the guidance Saint John’s has given me. St. John’s also strengthened my Catholic faith during an important time in my life. As I grow up and face new challenges, the values and faith I developed there continue to guide me. The school didn’t just prepare me for tests, it prepared me to be part of a community and to live with purpose. Thank you for supporting Saint John School and helping other students experience what I did.
